Before I bought my Dyson I was using a commercial grade work vacuum.
I am so happy I bought the dyson. It is lightweight, easy to maneuver and it's easy to switch from carpeting to hard flooring. I also love that it can turn into a small vacuum for the stairs. I'm very very pleased. Thank you dyson.

This is fantastic. Just got this after having the V6 Motorhead for about 10 years (it was also great, and only replaced the battery once). We have mostly wood or tile floors, but now we have more carpet and pet hair than we've had in the past, and the V8 Absolute has been wonderful. It's similar in feel/hold to the V6 but more maneuverable and significantly more power/ suction, especially on Flor tiles or carpet. Since our last one also had the button that you have to hold to keep on, we were used to that and isn't a problem. This model is Much easier to empty, and doesn't seem to struggle with hair getting caught around the roller. Assume we'll have this one for the next 10 years, as the quality is excellent and it has a much better battery/charging life than the last one we had. Great value and would highly recommend!
