so far so good, for a small apartment with hardwood floors this thing is GREAT, I was using a canister vacuum that I had to plug in and make sure I pulled out enough cord and drag the canister around...bumping into corners and furniture. The dyson is jus a grab and so, so much easier.

Great performance, as expected, but it's hard to comprehend how they came up with the method for emptying the canister - awkward, and looks prone to breaking at weak points in the plastic housing and mechanism...we'll see. It would also help to have LED lights on the floor/carpet heads like my old, not-a-Dyson unit this replaced. Arrived with bad battery and the help-line tech was VERY difficult to work with...finally talked him into sending a replacement battery and it works fine now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is very interesting this new model for pet hair. It has a spongy roller which picks up cat litter, hair, whatever has fallen on the floor. It also is quieter.
