Cannot run this vacuum unless you continuously hold down the start button. If you release any pressure then the vacuum stope. Returned it and purchased a Sharks.

This is my third purchase of a Dyson vacuum. I’m 60 years old and I’ve had a lot of experience with different brands and types of vacuums. Since my first purchase of a Dyson several years ago, I have vowed never to try anything else! I’m always thrilled with how much dirt it sucks up from my carpets and floors. Dirt that can’t even be seen. It gets it all! Also the maneuverability is unmatched. I Love my Dyson!!!

Works well. Great suction and got my rugs looking much better after one use. It's a bit heavier than expected and when using the shorter attachments, my arm gets tired. I even developed a bit of a blister after using the couch attachment from the weight and rubbing.

I’ve been extremely pleased with my Dyson V8. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and surprisingly powerful for its size. The suction is excellent on both hard floors and carpets, and it does a great job picking up fine dust, pet hair, and everyday debris.
What I appreciate most is how convenient it is. The cordless design makes quick cleanups effortless, and the attachments are practical and easy to swap. I just wish the battery life would last longer for my regular cleaning needs and maintenance.

For the first time in my life I enjoy vacuuming! I have a two bedroom apartment and when I finish the battery is still going. It’s so easy to handle and the suction is fantastic. What I love the most is how the hairs don’t get stock in the brush, they all go in the dirt bin. How in the world did you do that?? And the attachments, you have one for everything you can think of. I’m absolutely in love with my new Dyson, I loved the first one which was a V6 but the V8 I got is way better

I guess I didn’t look at the on button description because I definitely wouldn’t have ordered this particular one. This vacuum you have to hold the on button the whole time you’re using the vacuum. Not too convenient. Very disappointed on this certain feature.

I love the V8 Absolute so much I purchased a 2nd one just because it was on sale! I had the original V8 for a very long time. When it began giving us problem we “upgraded” to a new version which I think was the V9 but learned immediately that the way to discard the dirt was just too complicated having to remove the entire stick so we purchased the V8 Absolute. We still have the other but we were only using it if the other ran low on battery. Now I have three Dysons in the home. One in the the back family room, one in the mudroom which is close to the front of the house, and the other hanging in my office. We have dogs so it helps to have them stationed that way. The soft roller is amazing for hardwood floors and for thin, machine washable area rugs. All of them are great to vaccuum dog hair from furniture and floors. I even got an attachment that connects to literally vaccuum the hair right off of my dogs when the are in shedding season! What I’d like to see in the future is a way to to lock the button for continuous suction so I can freely use the accordion hose or the additional attachment for vacuuming my dogs, or using the vacuum to suck the air out of my storage bags. It would help for ease of maneuverability when those hand held tasks are needed.
