I think I like it. It makes some squeaking noises that I am not use to with my old Dyson. Hoping that is normal.

This is our 4th Dyson V8 which replaces our very first V8. The first one finally gave up after many years of abuse – it lasted much longer than I thought it would. Says a lot about Dyson’s durability.
We keep one upstairs, one downstairs, and one in the garage. Rarely do we use the corded vacuums any more as the Dysons are quick and easy – no plugging in and untangling cords. We found Dysons also do a better job cleaning, especially pet hair.
Additionally, we take one camping with us. They do a great job keeping dust, dirt, and sand out of the camper. The battery easily lasts 3-4 days. We also use it for the boat; it works great for the little storage places and gets into tight places like the ski locker. Sand does not seem to hurt them.
We are very satisfied with the V8. If I had one change to make it would be to have changeable batteries.

I wrecked my old one and as I've used it at least once a day for the past 20 years, had to get a new one immediately. And it arrived the next day! Lucky me

Bought mostly to seal with a heavily shedding German Shedder. Works wonderfully. Picks up haor and cleans carpets expertly. Met just about all expectations
