we have 3 v8's to keep yp with the dogs in the house. the new V8 seems to be a sturdier machine than the older ones. it does a good job with dog hair and grime which helps my wife's asthma quite a bit. I find the trap easy to open and empty quickly. the battery life seems to be longer compared to the older V8's.
All and all it is a great machine for the price If you are lucky you will find them on sale in Dyson announcements which is the most price wise method to purchase it.
A great machine for a house full of dogs or kids for that matter.

I was initially hesitant to invest so much in a vacuum, but I’m really pleased with my decision. I find myself using it for a variety of tasks around the house, even vacuuming my bed once a week! The only downside I've noticed is that when I switch it to the max setting, the battery tends to drain more quickly than I'd like. Overall, it's been a great addition to my cleaning routine.

The vacuum itself feels cheaper than the price tag. It’s lightweight and made of plastic. It almost feels like a child’s toy.

This is my 2nd Dyson v8. I took original to the cabin and got new "old" model because I love it. It works great on pet hair. I can flip it to less suction and clean the dog and cat beds. Amazing
