This is our third Dyson. The first one was the V8 Absolute. Loved it. The second one was the V8 Animal. I felt it was unnecessarily loud. It did the job, but it was what it was... I knew the next time I would purchase the Absolute again. I did. Love it.

Just bought this and am amazed at the dirt and dog hair that my old Oreck didn't get! Very pleased with attachment for dog hair on couches, car, etc. Very glad I listened to my son who has a Dyson and recommended it highly.

Well, i was surprised by this little vacuum. I used it in the kitchen for quick cleanup of kitchen floor, door to back yard with dirt, dog hair, leaves, etc. Then used in in the garage. it works really well, almost as good as the big turbo large one for the house. Bottom line is I was surprised that this V8 is that good.
It came with some extra attachments, but no instructions on what to use where, or when. I had to do on-line research to find out what long stem vacuum attachment was for what. Pricey, and looked at alternatives to this one but with a coupon I got this one and glad I did.
Hooked up charger holder in the garage for easy access for down stairs. I'll leave the big one upstairs (also a dyson)

After all the talk about battery life and suction power being low, I was skeptical about getting a cordless vacuum. This cordless vacuum, at least, has proven all that talk wrong. It's a great vacuum and worth every cent I paid. I rarely even need the "MAX" mode, and I can vacuum the whole 2k square foot house on one charge, as long as I don't use the "MAX" mode. The cordless nature and the light design make it so convenient that I end up vacuuming one area at a time anyway, leaving plenty of charge in the battery.

1) It doesn't have the highlighting green dirt light I have seen on others. I whish it did.

I love my Dyson V8 absolute!
I have a bad back and arthritis…which makes it hard for me to use the lightest Of regular vacuums.
The performance and maneuverability of the Dyson V8 absolute is awesome! Also, just the right suction to get all the stuff up from the carpets and the vinyl flooring. I also love all the attachments, especially the skinny pointed one that I use to clean in the cracks of the chairs and underneath the cushions of the couch.
My husband bought the mounted charging unit, with the two fold out things, to hold my new vacuum and tools on. I just Love my Dyson V8 absolute!
