Battery performance can be affected by various factors, including usage patterns and charging habits. We recommend using the vacuum in Normal mode for everyday cleaning and reserving Max mode for short, intensive bursts to help extend battery life. Additionally, ensuring the vacuum is stored at room temperature and allowing it to cool down before recharging can also help maintain battery health. We would like to look further into this for you. The unit has very good power and is ultra lightweight. However, the use the power, the battery will last only 7 minutes maximum time. Additionally, all of the latches to open the unit to clean are poorly made of cheap plastic and hard to open. They’ll break easily. I have been working with Dyson to replace the unit but they want me to ship it back without a replacement unit for 18 “business days”. Unacceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I hesitated to buy this V8 cordless model - changed my life! Works perfectly, easy to empty the bin, love the upholstery attachment - in fact it has cleaned a couch that my dog chewed a rawhide on, and previously it was very hard to get that sticky dry stuff out. I can have company over, people running all over my house, then it just takes minutes after they leave to clean up. I have no problem with the charge length - and we have a big house. I usually use the lower power level and it works perfectly. Highly recommend.
