I bought the Dyson V8 Origin Extra 2 months ago and it vacuums very well, is light, and easy to move around from room to room. Will probably never use a corded vacuum again!

I purchased the Dyson V8 a week ago. I unpacked it immediately but gave it its first workout yesterday when we vacuumed the entire house. Our house has a combination of both carpet and laminate floors. I was surprised how much the fluff head worked better on the laminate floor than the motor head. My dog, a sheltie, is a heavy shedder. Comparing the V8's bin to the bin on my corded Dyson, I was concerned about how often it would require emptying. The bin needed dumping more frequently, but emptying it is much easier than the corded Dyson. Storing the V8 on the wall/charging mount is more straightforward for storage and use than the corded vacuum. I fear that my nine-year-old Dyson will begin to feel abandoned.
