I’ve only just begun! Just got it and watching videos and reading directions. I must say that I’m having some trouble with emptying the canister. I just need to get used to it I’m sure. The regular suction is amazing…it doesn’t miss a crumb! However, I wish Dyson would make a better on /off lever though…one that could be adjusted to stay on constantly until done vacuuming. It’s hard on the skin between the finger and thumb.
It only lasts maybe 7-8 minutes on high power. No one can complete a vacuum in such a short time. Also only one attachment when all others have 4.

My vacuum works well on the normal vacuum mode, but still only lasts 15-20 minutes. On the Max mode, it lasts maybe 5 seconds and when I plug it in it shows fully charged. Unfortunately, we assumed that this would work on high pile carpets but it doesn’t given how quickly it dies on Max.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Dyson V8 Absolute came with all the features and accessories that we wanted and so far it has worked perfectly. The main reason though that we wanted one for is that it is so easy to grab and get messes cleaned up so fast and easy. We now have two Dysons!
I am very disappointed with the battery run time. I am not even getting 15 minutes on a fully charged battery. I do not use it on MAX either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
