Hurts my hands

I had to purchase a trigger hold. If you have small hands holding the trigger for a whole room or house actually bruises my hands. I saw other people had the same issue. I don't get why it was engineered that way

Battery Is no good

Like others have experienced, my Dyson V8, (2nd one to try) has a battery that started out only lasting about 15 minutes on the lower setting. Now, I am hard-pressed to get only 2-3 minutes before the battery gets really hot and the vac starts pulsating weirdly. I rarely turn it to the Max setting because I know it will completely drain the battery almost instantly. However, while it DOES work, it’s great and handy to have! i really wish it would work consistently, because I do like the size and suction power of it. Dyson-is there a better option??

Cleans well; bad for arthritic hands and big house

Cleans well and is lightweight. However for arthritic hands it is difficult to use because you have to hold down the power button continuously in order for it to run (no on/off). And the battery is short lived and only lasts 30 minutes so if you have a large house, expect to have to charge it multiple times.

Fairly handy

A bit early for review since I've only used it 4 times so far but seems handy for floor cleaning since it is lighter and more flexible than upright I had for years. Seems to need cleaning before level indicated is reached. Otherwise pulsates on MAX. Since I have arthritis in my hands, I find that having to hold the trigger while using unit is painful. For price that Dyson charges, a trigger lock should come with the unit. I might recommend to a friend for floor use.

Great vacuum but the batter sucks.

I love it. My wife loves it but the battery really needs to last longer than 30-35 minutes. It’s great other than that.

Doesn’t Last

I was excited about this b/c my other Dyson lasted over a decade, but this battery dies within 15 min. I have a big house & can only do a room at a time. I thought Dyson took pride in quality products, but I guess that changed. Judging by the reviews, they knew this was a problem & I’m wondering if that’s why it went on sale? Not cool.

Love this vacuum!!

I love this vacuum! It’s so lightweight and easy to use! The only downside I would say, is the battery only last 10 minutes when using the maximum power. Then it takes four hours to charge. So I just do a quick vacuum in the morning and then a quick vacuum in the evening. I almost bought a rumba, but I’m so happy that I decided to buy this instead. I love this vacuum!

Great light weight vacuum

I love that the vacuum is lightweight and has great suction power. The attachments are great also. The only downside is the battery life. It maybe lasts 30 minutes. If you use the max suction, the battery life is even worse and then it takes hours to recharge. If they could make the battery life better, it'd get 5 stars.
