We own two Dyson vacuums — a hand vac and a standard upright vac. The Dyson V8 is better, quieter and more maneuverable. Great purchase.

I'm quite happy with my purchase. The Dyson V8 Absolute has great suction power and the two separate (actually 3) each do their job perfectly. The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star rating is that the "run" button has to remain manually pushed and there is no "flex" option on the wand to reach beneath furniture. The run button is fixed easily enough with a velcro strap with each use. The lack of the option for the wand to "break/bend" to reach beneath furniture would definitely bring this rating to a 5 star.
