I bought it a month ago and hasn't been working and their sending me parts and still not working very frustrating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my new Dyson V8 except, there is only one thing I wish was included. To not have to continuously hold the “on” button while using it. I wish you could just have the “on” button on by itself.
We’ve only had it about two weeks so I can’t speak for the longevity. We have vinyl plank flooring throughout the entire house with a couple of area rugs. I’m able to do the whole house on regular power without having to recharge. Some of the reviews I’ve seen have shown that people are unhappy with the battery life, but it seems to neither doing the entire vacuuming job on high power, which I have not found to be necessary. It picks up really well- admittedly, you have to empty the canister more often than a Dyson upright. We have three cats and it gets all their cat hair. It recharge quickly and the wall mount is very convenient. It easily gets underneath couches, chairs, and foot stools. I like the fact that it’s very lightweight and maneuverable. I haven’t touched our corded vacuum since we got the Dyson. When this dies, as all appliances eventually do, I have no doubt that I’ll replace it with another
