I bought the Dyson V8 about three weeks ago and I am not impressed. I will never buy another product by Dyson again!

Wanted to really love it, but it feels really cheep and not as powerful as I would hope it would be. Even with MAX on, my husband said it wasn’t as good.
It doesn’t hold a charge long. Do love the assessories it comes with!

I have been using my Dyson V 8 Origin plus for a couple of weeks now and so far I’m loving the convenience it provides. I have pets so I have to vacuum at least twice a day. It’s nice to not have to fight with the cord or have to stop to plug it in or unplug it as you move from room to room. I do wish that you could use the max power level without running the battery down so much faster, the suction on max is what should be normal. I have wood floors and only use the max power to clean a couple of rugs. Some buyers aren’t too happy about having to always hold the power lever in to keep the vacuum running due to some having issues with their hands or they find it inconvenient. At first I didn’t like this either but as I’ve used it I’m ok with this feature. I stop a lot to move things around or pick something up, instead of the vacuum using battery power while I’m not actually vacuuming it stops when I take my finger off of the power lever and it’s safer around my pets. Yes I’m one of those that leaves the vacuum on when I have to stop instead of turning it off! I’m not so sure that this particular model would be the best for floors with carpet, a corded vacuum with more power would probably be the best option. The reason for the 4 star rating is that I did expect a little more power & longer battery life from this vacuum since it is a Dyson and the dirt cup is smaller than I like especially for bigger messes like pet hair you have to stop to empty it often. Even though this Dyson model may have some quirks I don’t regret buying it.
What can I say as advertised but the fact you have to hold the on switch the entire time is ridiculous so I can’t do more than three stars cause my finger hurts. Lol fix that already. It’s absolutely absurd.
