Really isn't its predecessor's replacement. The loss of the medium setting is unfortunate. It doesn't pick up as much as my old one. And the battery doesn't last nearly as long.

Bought the Dyson V8 Absolute a couple of weeks ago. I owned a V8 for almost 3 years and I thought that maybe the new V8 would be better. This V8 is different than my previous V8. My old V8 has very good suction power and the battery lasts a decent amount of time. The new V8 has less suction power. If you increase to the MAX position, the battery drains fairly fast. The cleaning head ball joint is very tight and it does not flex as it should. Many times I have to manually orient it to the desired angle. The HEPA filter is a good addition, but it makes me wonder if it is causing the loss of power. The new V8 came with plenty of accessories, and that is a good thing. The old one only had one. We are keeping it as it is doing a decent job, but again, we expected at least the same or better suction power, and longer battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lightweight and powerful, but doesn’t last long

I bought this couple of weeks ago and it’s a very enjoyable experience, it’s very lightweight compared to the older version I had, however it only lasts for 10 min max which is not enough for my apartment and then it requires several hours of charging. So efficiency is slightly questionable.
