This is my fifth Dyson. To say I am a fan is an understatement. My last purchase was for the V8 absolute. I purchased it because my 11 year old DC 44 is showing signs of wear and I did not want to be without a vacuum cleaner. I use my Dyson every single day, numerous times a day. I have never experienced any issues with any of my Dysons. The only thing I have had to do is purchase a new battery occasionally. I expect the same performance out of my V8. I would recommend and have recommended Dyson to my friends.

Not a review for the vacuum, but rather for the Dyson price match policy. Trying to get them to price match was painful with limited results. Avoid.

I sent my V8 Absolute back after online video tech help determined I was correct in reporting my dust bin would not open. Hoping for better luck with my replacement. I own two other Dyson stick vacs. They are fabulous. Therefore I was very surprised with the less than optimum design of the dust bin release lever. 🤞🤞🤞

So far, so good! Not happy about the battery running out before I am done cleaning the house, but this certainly outweighs its performance and flexibility to clean. I love being able to use the same device for vacuuming the floor as well as address small and tight spaces with its adaptable hand-held capability replacing my DustBuster. I am ready to donate my old heavy equipment to charity! Suggestion-why not install the ability to swap-out out one battery while the other charges, without having to unscrew the battery pack from the device?

Yup. It works great. I especially like the hard floor attachment; beats sweeping. I like how I can now easily get into corners and under furniture that used to require me to the furniture around. I can also do a quick clean up without hauling out the big vacuum.
