[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this Dyson V8. The only thing I do not care for is the pull up latch. I rather have a push down that releases the latch to empty the bin. The pull up seem to big a little harder for me. My previous Dyson was a push down latch to release the latch. Which I love better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am not at all pleased with this product. It is clumsy and having to continually hold in the start button hurts the hand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very skeptical at first, because all the vacuum cleaners that I have ever owned, I have to constantly keep the roller bars cleaned out from my long hair. I shed like a dog. Lol. :).
I cannot say enough about this vacuum cleaner. It is 100% worth the price tag. I was shocked after vacuuming my entire house, all the furniture, curtains, seat cushions, that I did not have one hair wrapped around the roller bar.
Best vacuum cleaner and investment of all times. I cannot get over how many attachments comes with this vacuum cleaner. I think there are a total of six or eight. And I have gone through I think three or four of them. Love them !!!

Fantastic. Versatile. Powerful. Easy to use. Battery last me more than needed — even using the High / Super speed.
Only Con —- that you have to hold down the power button while vacuuming. But I understand the principal and the reason behind it. It makes a very efficient way to save the battery.

Replaced four different vacuums!

Over the years, i have collected various hand-held, canister, bagless upright and "stick" vacuums trying to address all the types of cleaning tasks around my condo. I hesitated to buy a pricier Dyson until the older vacuums started dying and I realized that to replace the whole collection with new models would cost as much -- and take up more room -- than this multi-purpose Dyson 8. I love it! It's quieter, more powerful and easier to use than any vacuum I ever tried. Really great on pet hair and all types of surfaces.

Battery life and aftermath

I have a V6. I was reading the reviews and saw that others have the same complaint about the battery life . The battery didn’t last long and I replaced it. It now vacuums for about 30 seconds then starts tripping/skipping. I only use it for small pickups because of this . I loved this vacuum before the first battery ran out but will not pay the amount of money they want for another one . These vacuums should last longer for what they cost

Dangerous and harmful

My vacuum keep pinching my finger and service said i should not hold the vacuum in that point while im vacuuming

Great cordless vacuum

I have had this a month, and so far I love i! My hardwood floors look shinier after using the attachment for that, and my carpets just feel nicer to walk on. I love that it is so lightweight. It's so much easier than pulling along my old canister vacuum. I do have to empty it often, but that takes no effort at all. I can't comment about pet hair since I have no pets.
I would recommend this to a friend!
