I actually liked my v6 more. I miss the ability to change the settings and I personally liked the size of the container more on the v6.. I didn’t have to empty as often. I also preferred the old charger as well
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Dyson. My other one wore out. Loved it and wanted another one. It cleans good and is lightweight. Love my new one especially having an attachment for floor and one for carpet.

I bought my Dyson V8 Origin a little over a month ago and am overall very happy with it. This is my third cordless Dyson vac. The first one I owned for over ten years and it served me well considering the battery charge on the older models were not as great as the current models. I mainly used it for quick floor clean ups and not for large vacuuming jobs. I also own a fairly new Dyson SlimV12 that I love, especially for the on/off switch. My only complaint on my V8 Origin is the trigger switch. I would've liked for Dyson to make this model with an on/off switch like the Slim model because I have arthritis that flares up occasionally which makes it difficult for me to use for an extended length of time. This is the only reason for the four stars and not five. Overall, I'm very happy with V8 Origin's cleaning ability and long battery life if used on the lower suction setting. I would highly recommend it to anyone on the fence about buying a Dyson cordless stick vacuum.
