I bought my Dyson V8 and thought I would be extremely happy with it but I am not. Battery life is not what they say it is. I’ve been charging it I vacuum and I only received about 15 minutes of runtime. I fully charged it prior to using it. Dyson suggested we do and still the runtime is very poor. I hate that I spent this amount of money on this item. I also do not like that. You have to hold the trigger the entire time you vacuum. The design for the trigger is not functional.

Horrible Battery Life

We have had this for about a month now… we can only use it for about 10 minutes before the battery dies. That is not great considering our whole house is hardwood floors. Overall happy otherwise.. should have just bought one with a cord…

One major design flaw on an otherwise great produc

I bought this to replace my Black and Decker cordless stick vac because a friend has one and said it was so powerful and superior to other brands. I do believe it is a bit more powerful and I liked how it also docks in the charging unit. However, there is one feature that I don't think I can handle and that is the trigger switch. My 70 year old hand became tired after only a few minutes of holding the trigger. Why couldn't it have an on/off switch? Unless my husband can figure out a way to keep the trigger down (like a twister tie), I will have to return before my 30 days is up. If it had a switch I would have rated it higher.

After waiting so long for my purchase I’m honestly not that impressed. It it awkward to hold, leaves a place on my thumb every time I use it..but the biggest negative is there not being a light on the front!
