This is my second Dyson V8! My old one of 7 years still works great (I've only had to replace the battery once about a year ago), but being in a 2 story, I've been longing for a second one to keep upstairs. This one is even lighter weight than my old one. I love the cordless ease of use and has great suctioning. If I spot a fly or spider in the house, I just remove the main vacuum head, put on high suction, and I'm the Dyson Rambo queen:) I was originally hoping to get the V12 with the automatic on button, but when I saw it in person, the canister was just too small, so stuck with the V8, which I am quite happy with:)

I'm giving it a 5 star but I personally have an issue with its use. I have arthritis and an artificial knuckle implant on my right index finger. The design of the drum and handle really hurt and leave it extremely red. I have adjusted the way I hold it and sometimes have to use my left hand. With that said it's exceptional on my hardwood floors. Just wish it didn't hurt. 😂

I bought this after staying at a friend's house while she was away. She had a Dyson and so I tried it out and absolutely loved it. Vacuuming with my old vacuum was a production. It was heavy and corded. This one is so light and easy - Now I vacuum much more often!
