The suction is superior, better than any vacuum i have had before. Lightweight and very maneuverable, i am able to vacuum spots under my sofa without lifting it. The battery life is better than the reviews i have seen posted before. On low suction, which is very sufficient for most needs, the battery has lasted for thirty continuous minutes before low charge is indicated. The attachments are excellent as well.

I love my Dyson. I do have one problem when I use it to vacuum. I’m in an apartment and I have four rooms. The vacuum cleaner only lets me clean three it stops. The battery no longer works, and I have to recharge it again. Is this normal which is usually About 10 minutes for me to do the cleaning thank you.

Does a great job on my carpet which is why I bought it. Crevice tool comes in handy for zapping an insect off the ceiling. Easy to empty right into the trash can.

I am disappointed in my new Dyson vacuum cleaner. It is a V8 Extra. I am getting only 4-5 minutes cleaning when the machine has been fully charged and is on the max setting. I have an older, smaller Dyson machine that gives much better performance despite its age and size. I was looking forward to a better experience with my new Dyson.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

we have had a V8 for 5 years -- it replaced a V6, we liked the v6 and the V8 is better. So we bought the new v8 as a spare-- we have a 2,000 square foot condo and it does well and has enough battery so that we never run out -- it is about 2/3 deep pile carpet and the rest hardwood and tile.

This Dyson V8 is my first Dyson product, and I have to say "It sucks!", but in a GREAT way. It picks up dog hair, dust bunnies, and who knows what else, but that is what it was designed to do. I will certainly be using this vacuum, and other Dyson products, whenever I can. It is highly maneuverable and is the first vacuum I've owned that was able to get all the way under my king-sized bed to clean the floor. I haven't had it long enough yet to judge the battery life, but what I've seen so far has been great. I also plan to purchase a couple extra attachments for those "special" spots that are not easy to reach or clean. Overall, I can't think of a single negative to my purchase, and hope to use this for years to come.

We purchased our new Dyson V8 the first of June. Honestly, I was shocked at it's performance. I thought we had clean floors and rugs. Boy was I wrong! I should have taken pictures of what it picked up. We could not be happier!! Well worth the investment.
