It's an excellent vacuum. Light, easy to maneuver, powerful and easy to clean. The one issue I have with all Dyson vacuums is that the trigger does not lock. My grip is weak and my hand tires holding the trigger which makes it hard to vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This vacuum works great not only on my hardwood floors to put my carpets as well. The only downside and the reason I only gave him four out of five stars is that you have to continuously hold the on lever and trust me your hand will cramp up! Also, it says it runs 40 minutes but that’s only on the lowest setting. It’s never really ran 40 minutes maybe half an hour at the most. Had I known about the newest one that has a light and you don’t have to hold it down I totally would’ve bought that one instead.!! it’s going to be worth the extra money I’m sure!

I love that this vacuum has power, yet is compact and cordless. It is amazing how much dust and dirt this little guy can remove. I thought my upright was removing all the dust and dirt, but I was wrong. I actually get excited to vacuum. The dirt cup is so easy to clean!

Exactly what I need

I purchased Dyson V8 because I needed a vacuum that I could easily grab for day to day cleaning. In particular, I wanted something that was cordless and could easily clean carpeted stairs. This vacuum is perfect for my needs. My husband loves it too and gladly takes on vacuuming responsibilities when needed.

I bought this machine last week and it arrived this Saturday. I never thought me and my 11 years old son would be that happy with a vacuum cleaner. He assembled every piece and he told me how to use. Then he did clean the whole house by the excitement of a Dyson cordless light vacuum cleaner. The suction skill of this product is so good and very light to
carry it around in the house even by an 11 years old. I only wish it had a light on it so I would see the dark corners when the lights are not on. Please put a LED light on it for the next model of this version.

Replaced older Dyson for the V8

I still have a working much older model Dyson stick vac.
I still have a working much older model Dyson stick vac but the new non-clogging floor tool design intrigued me. After receiving and using the Dyson V8 Absolute model, I was not disappointed in the performance. This thing picks up cat hair like gang busters and cleaning is super-fast and easy. No more picking cat hair out of the floor tool. What a blessing. I could not be happier with its cleaning performance.
