The absolute model is phenomenal

We were originally going to get a lower end model, but the absolute model while more expensive is 100% more worth it due to performance and ability

Great little machine

Bought this to make cleaning my hard wood stairs clean. I have three floors of stairs, on max this vacuum stays charged long enough to thoroughly vacuum them. Charge runs out pretty soon after stairs. This has great suction and I am running around cleaning baseboards, corners, floors. I need to rest between areas so charge running out quickly makes me rest. Stick it in to recharge and I’m off again for about 20 minutes on max. I love it!

It’s simple and convenient to use. No hose, no canister, no electric cord.
It is not made for a rug. Although it works, it requires effort to push and pull over a carpet/rug.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Short Battery Life

Very disappointed with this purchase. The battery lasts about 8-10 mins max after a full charge.

Easy to use, convenient, and works great!

This is my 3rd Dyson vacuum that I own and I absolutely love it for in-between cleanings! I use my Dyson Animal for my weekly vacuuming but my new V8 is so handy! I love how it can be a handheld or regular vacuum. The only downside is the battery life! Not sure if mine has a faulty battery, but it doesn’t last long at all. But great for quick cleanup for sure!

Love the suction!

I had a cheap knock off originally and am glad I sprung for the real deal however I’m missing the light and the battery charge display the knock off has. It’s possible Dyson has added these features to their newer models but this one does not have either. The Dyson is beyond awesome for suction and clean up though which is obviously the most important feature.

The actual worst vacuum ever.

I bought this for the convenience of it being cordless and for the fact that I use three other Dyson products, none of which I have any complaints about. Considering I felt I knew the brand, I expected higher quality than what this is. Sure, the max speed provided good suction, but I feel it needs to always been on max to handle the job. For some reason it doesn’t pick things up right away. As I’m going back and forth, I find that I have to vacuum addition times at the same spot to pick up what it should’ve in the beginning. Yet, my BIGGEST problem is the battery life! It’s terrible. God awful for the amount that this product is worth. I get 10 minutes run time, if that, after a complete charge. I should’ve known when I seen it takes hours to come up with a full charge and you’re allotted 15-20 mins run time. Ridiculous. I live in a 1,020 sq apartment and it can’t even cover that on a full charge. Good luck if you’re living in a larger home. I was warned about this from friends before I bought it but since I loved the other Dyson products I have I took a risk! Never again with their cordless vacuums.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
