I've had this for about 2 years and loved it for small pickup messes but now all of a sudden it has stopped holding a charge for more than 30 seconds. Shows all blue lights then stops. No power. Manual says I should get a red light when the power is low but it doesn't. All lites are dark.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Life-changing

You guys, this vacuum truly will change your life. We already own a Dyson. After adding two large dogs to our family of five, the constant need to clean the floors made our vacuum feel heavy and cumbersome. We purchased this cordless dream and any of us can zip, zip, zip around the entire first level so quickly. It’s lightweight and great at getting all the yuck pulled in from the outdoors. The attachments are so easy to switch out. I cannot say enough good things about this newest addition to the family. Love it!

I bought this vacuum 3 weeks ago. I like the cordless feature and how light it is. However, it's dust storage is very small and requires frequent emptying unless you vacuum every other day.. The roller head seems to slow down quite a bit on carpets; my roller head started making a noise shortly after I started using. For the high price, I expected more.

Low battery life

We love the convenience of the vacuum, great suction. Love that it charges while hanging on the wall, just grab and go! However, the “40 minutes” of run time is honestly probably half that in reality. If it’s just for a small space it’s perfect!

The Dyson V8 origin . Is easy to use , powerful motor and easy to clean , the detachable hand vac is a bonus , I love the attachments too ! I’ve found it charges up within 1 hour.
I’ll never go back to a corded vacuum again!

Loving it! It's so easy to reach for, that I'm grabbing it for every clean up. I haven't had my big bulking sweaper out since I got my Dyson.

battery life Stinks

i purchased this dyson less than a month ago, not happy with the performance loses power very fast in low mode, i went back to using my broom and corded vacuum..way too much money for weak product...

Thanks for your review. Generally with the Dyson V8, the standard suction mode is more than enough for all your hard floors and most carpets. Then, the boost/max mod is designed for quick bursts of extra energy, when needed - but not to be used continually, by design. I'd recommend experimenting a bit here.
