Both Good and Bad

First the good: I have had my current V8 vacuum for about 5 years. The suction and performance was good. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to use.
The bad: The battery life is horrible and has been since I got it. On low, I can get about 35 minutes of use and then it is dead. Oh high, I'm lucky if I can get 2 minutes out of it.
I think it's time to replace the vacuum. As much as I have enjoyed the good points, I just don't have the time and energy to want to wait until the unit recharges so I can finish vacuuming.

I got this for Christmas from my grandkids. I love it. I am 74 and vacuuming had become the one chore I hated to do. I love this because I can formulate the tools to do what I want to clean and it is light and doesn't hurt my back to use.

Good suction, the vane roller really works and does not clog with pet hair, great Dyson build quality, useful attachments.
The Bad,
Not much to complain about. Small Dust bin requires constant emptying, The charging base only holds the small attachments, so you'll need a place to store the others.

Having only owned Dyson vacuums for the past 20 yrs am disappointed in the V8. Received as a gift & was thrilled until I realized u must constantly have ur finger on the trigger to vacuum. Once ur finger comes off the red trigger it stops. My poor index finger is hurting after vacuuming my kitchen hardwood floor. Also the release button for the dirt bin is extremely hard to pull out. Am I doing something wrong?

I’m glad I bought this vacuum because it cleans so well but mostly because I’m 80 and it is light to handle with no cords to stop and change outlets and I don’t trip over a cord. Love it.
