Doesn't last!

It is great while it works but it doesn't last. I have bought 2 and won't buy another. The first one's battery died after a couple of years and the second one's brush won't turn after a couple of years. EXPENSIVE for short lives and no resolution other than buying parts!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second Dyson V8. Great product and I would never think of anything but using a Dyson! This vacuum is the BEST.

Getting use to it

Had a hard time to pull it for cleaning and had to manually open the dirt cup - lubricated same with WD40 , it is a lot easier to disengage now⁉️

Hi Tia, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your experience with your Dyson V8™ vacuum. When emptying the clear dust bin, especially the first few times, you will need to pull up on the red latch rather sharply and with a touch of force - which will eventually become easier with repeated use. You'll need to pull upward twice; once to pull the cyclone up out of the bin, and a second time to open the bin base door. When closing, to prevent the bin door from jamming, you'll push the cyclone down into the bin first, and then close the bin door.

I love the suction and the how light it is. My complaint is I wish I didn't have to constantly hold down the trigger and a little longer battery life would be ideal.
I would recommend this to a friend!
