Had an older model for many years, worked well, but charge wouldn't last long. This latest model is far superior - fantastic suction, great HEPA filter, which the older model didn't have...highly recommended!!

We've used this unit for about a month and are very happy with it. Max power is a lot, regular battery saving power is adequate for most uses. Its handy and well balanced. Easy to exchange attachments. Our Dyson plug in vacuum isn't pulled out anymore. My wife's long hair doesn't get wound up on the spool with this unit.

I am in absolute love with my new Dyson V8!!! It might just be the most fabulous appliance I've ever owned. It truly is the ultimate when it comes to being a multi use solution for cleaning around the house or (my favorite plus) the car!
And don't even get me started on the design. I'm a guy that loves machinery and excessively heaving looking metal fabrication so the styling of this machine fits the bill. The distinct colors, red buttons and see through pieces that let me see moving parts are just perfect. I couldn't wait hang it on my wall and proudly present it as a center piece. I was hesitant for a while but I'm glad I pulled the trigger (no pun intended)
Now for some critical feedback.. I highly suggest that you consider wrapping the clear plastic piece in something nice and soft. I like to try my best and keep things looking new but was a little disappointed when i saw scratches from rough packaging on the clear plastics. I'm very particular about the condition of the products I buy and expect perfection out of the box. I assure your customers would love to see the more sensitive pieces carefully wrapped in something more protective.
But to not end this review on a sour note I will say that I am a believer and you have a gained a loyal customer (hi, it's me)

I got the Dyson v8 last week and used it this weekend and it was great . I was able to get to places where the big animal Dyson ball can’t get too. Picking up the Faust from the floor was a breeze better than a broom. The only downside is that on the high power mode the battery lasts only 7to 8min lesson learned. The high power mode is good for small area carpets and the normal mode I use it to pick up the dust from the tile flooring or hardwood and it lasts about 35 min in this mode other than that I think it’s great cuts my cleaning time by half

Mostly great except for Fluffy cleaner head & bin

My old one lasted nine years and I only replaced it because if finally died. The new V8 Absolute is mostly great but I really don't like how the Fluffy™ cleaner head, which is nice on my wood floors, doesn't have a guard to keep it from trying to gobble up cords, etc. Opening the dust bin is a pain -- it feels fragile and I'm sure it will eventually break -- but I'm getting used to it.

I'm happy with Dyson, the only two things I wish battery would hold up longer and the brushes are to flimsy, wish they didn't collapse while cleaning.

Battery lasts about 7 minutes when in full suction power. I wouldn’t recommend this for a whole house cleaning but just touch ups. Very practical.
