Great features, works well. Battery Life?

I like the features, but the battery is something to be desired. Could only vacuum one room and had to recharge. Vacuuming one car and battery went dead before completed. I would recommend the V11 or 12 for longer battery life.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had the vacuum for about a month. It cleans well and is relatively quiet but the battery is too small and cleaning has to be done in stages because it takes too long to charge the battery. The debris collection bin is ok but it fills up too fast when cleaning up pet hair.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Stick Vac

This is the third stick vac we have purchased and clearly the best. It has great suction, empties easily, and has easy to replace filters. Those who commented that the battery life was inadequate must have been trying to use the highest power all the time. On the routine setting, it vacuums much longer than I want to!

We have owned it two weeks won’t stay charged and already not working I would give it a big zero!!!

Great little vacuum!

Love this little Dyson! We also own the V10 and love it because it has three levels of suction which works great for going from hardwood floors to carpets to rugs! Purchased this v8 for our outdoor rugs and it works awesome for getting up dirt, sand and any spilled items off our outdoor carpets. Having cordless makes all the difference in the world. The battery does need to be recharged after every use though - but still - Dyson vacs are the BEST!

Vacuuming is fun! This vacuum does a really great job with very little effort on my part. I do wish it had a light on the floor and that it would stand up on its own, but this vacuum is so awesome in every other way that I can overlook these two absent features

Purchased last month, was hoping for a powerful lite weight, easy to use with long lasting battery. Normal suction isn’t impressive, but better at the higher speed however at high speed you drastically reduce the battery. At max speed I may have gotten 20 minutes out of the battery life. For this I returned. What I enjoyed was cordless.
