This is our second V8. First one was a V8 Animal. I do believe this new one is a bit less powerful than our first model, but it does the job. The Dyson V8 was a game-changer/life-changer for me. I am petite - 5'2", 115 lbs and used to loathe vacuuming. To have to lug a big, heavy machine around, keep unplugging the cord to move around, etc was so cumbersome. I barely vacuumed because I hated doing it so much. The cordless Dyson changed that for me. I can take it out at any time, do a little bit here and there, or the whole house (about 1800 sq ft) all at once. I literally vacuum often now, and, dare I say, enjoy it!! It seriously changed how I think about vacuuming and housecleaning. If I was rich, I would buy one for all the special women in my life (mom, sisters, etc). I like the non-tangling head on the new model, too. Like I said, my only negative would be that it does seem a little less powerful than the V8 Animal we had - but then again, maybe the Animal version was supposed to be more powerful?

Easy Clean Up

This Dyson has changed my life! Clean up is a breeze with the V8. It picks up dust bunnies, grass, and all the things that get tracked into the house. Great on pet hair clean up too. The convenience of cordless vacuuming is the best! And the design for emptying the canister is brilliant!

I owned a v6 animal and recently upgraded to the v8-I love it even more -V8 model is quieter and easier to empty bin. Well worth the price!

This is simply the best machine I have ever owned or used. Nimble, light weight , powerful and easy to empty. In the cleanest way possible, it is Sucking AWESOME.

I have had to replace the battery on this so many times! My house is 600 sq ft and i literally have to charge the vaccume to charge halfway thru. Do yourself a favour and buy another brand this is just hype and total junk
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comfortable grip

Excellence in Design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve never enjoyed the huge cleaning task that our dog Winston brings in along with massive dander from constant shedding. We have hardwood floors with a few area rugs that are unbelievable. Dyson to the rescue with the cordless ease of mobility. long lasting battery and accessories make for feeling much better handling the task of the dog named Winston!
