Feel like Dyson dropped on the ball on this one

This is my third Dyson and I expected great things. It’s a disappointment. When reversing/pulling the vacuum back, instead of sucking it jumps up and down. Makes cleaning much slower. No motion or change that I make seems to impact this bouncing.
Secondly, the weight distribution/balancing on this one just isn’t as good. I have used it maybe 15 times and I have a callous developing on my finger from it. It literally hurts to use this vacuum.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn’t stay charged

I love the idea of this vacuum and some people I know who have them swear by them. But, from the get go I haven’t been able to vacuum my floors and rugs with one charge. And my house is fairly small with all hardwood floors and some area rugs. It’s extremely frustrating to not be able to do a 10 minute job when the battery dies before that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to learn that you've been disappointed with the run time your V8 provides. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Dyson V8 It’s Great!

Fantastic Dyson V8, glides along the floor like butter. Suction power picks up everything in its path. Emptying debris is a breeze. This is my second Dyson, wouldn’t purchase any other brand but a Dyson.

Great suction

So far, so good. The suction even without being on max is amazing. I do find the on switch a little tricky. You have to hold the switch with your finger to keep the machine running. It’s a bit tiresome. I also keep hitting it when switching out the attachments. Love that it’s cordless.

Great Vacuum

Purchased a cordless approximately 10 years ago and only ever had to replace the battery once and the head once. It was time for a 2nd battery and we decided to upgrade to this newer model and the buttons and emptying compartment are a huge upgrade!
I would recommend this to a friend!
