Its amazing how well it picks up fur and hair from upholstery..I also like the fluffy head as it protects my wood floors.

This my second one they last one year only the battery died I’m very disappointed with this product it’s waste of money I really wants to like this product but it doesn’t work

Over time the machine will naturally lose its run time but the level of degradation over the years is very small. Battery degradation is not a fault of the machine. It happens to all batteries in everyday items, such as mobile phones and laptops. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise how long each component will last in each individual's home.

Upon purchase, the battery would not charge. We were informed some batteries had been defective and sent us a new one. It took 2 weeks to arrive. Upon arrival, we could not remove the old battery from the housing due to the screws being extremely small and drilled in so tightly. No idea why you would design a battery attachment this way. Literally everything battery operated we own (including Ego everything for the yard) the battery just slides in and out with ease. This will be returned asap. Very dissatisfied.

After purchase, brought home, unpacked, plugged in and would not charge. Kept plugged in for 24 hours and NO LUCK!!! Returned for full refund

Cordless lacks charge

Charge barwly held . Battery failed shortly after limited warranty. Replacement battery extremely expensive.

battery life failed on me after 18 mos

I went above and beyond my budget for a vacuum. I have a disability and thought the cordless, light weight Dyson would be worth the investment. I saved for months to be able to purchase the V8 and now less than 2 yrs the battery charge is only lasting for 5 min. I could have bought 3 vacuums for the price I paid for the Dyson. I am beyond disappointed and will tell all others in my situation not to waste their money on the Dyson. Go with a different brand. Bummed with regret.

Your V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.
