Gets it done

This machine works well. Easy to use; great attachments which easily attach and detach; easy to empty the vacuum debris and the battery life is sufficient for me. I have a small farmhouse with wood floors and using the basic suction, the battery lasts through 2 cleanings. My floors look great! I’m always surprised at the amount of trash in the vacuum.

Easy to transport,easy to change vacuum heads, easy to empty. For me best feature is wood floor head- no brushes so it works very well on my oriental rugs. No damage to the fibers. Fast shipping

Great... while it lasted
This was our first dyson product ever. Very exciting! However we will no longer be buying dyson ANYTHING! The battery takes over 24 hours to charge and only works for like 2-4 minutes. I used to take a couple hours for 8 minutes on high! Its only been A MONTH! Terrible product, terrible battery, terrible everything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery life is very weak!!!

I bought this less than a month ago and when using on Max power the battery baerly lasts 10 minutes!!! You have to run on normal to get battery efficiency!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Wayne, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thanks for sharing your review with us. MAX power on our V8 machines provides a boost of suction for tougher messes or larger debris, when you're cleaning and finding that more than one pass needs to be made. This boost of suction does result in shorter run times; just about 7 minutes on a full charge. We do recommend using regular suction for your everyday cleaning, to get up to 40 minutes of run time, and then using MAX when something is tougher to clean.

Well I’m Convinced

Not gonna lie. For a long time I thought Dyson products were wildly overhyped and overpriced gimmicks.
Then I bought the Dyson V8.
I’m a convert. This vacuum functions flawlessly and efficiently. It is relatively lightweight, easy to use and it’s got incredibly effective suction, and the rotating attachments do a great job of picking up debris from the floors. Cleaning it out is also a snap.
My wife and I are now utterly convinced, and we are now Dyson fans.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great vacuum cleaner only problem is on max power the battery goes down quickly. They advertise forty minutes of charge time. That is true on the lowest setting.

Not worth the money

There is very little I like about this product. The only thing I like is the convenience of just grabbing it and cleaning up a mess quickly. The suction of this vacuum is subpar to say the least. I’m not sure if I just had high expectations because of all the hype or not. If you use any other attachment besides the roller just don’t bother. No suction. My main complaint is I have hardwood floors and the plastic the roller is made off leaves skid marks all over my floor that need to be buffed out after. So overall this vacuum creates more work for me. I will never buy again or recommend.

Great Vacuum

This is the best thing I ever bought for my house. I never have to sweep the floors with a broom. This vacuum is so easy to use and and really suck-up the dirt. I love all the gadget tools that came with it. I highly recommend this to make any cleaning so easy.
