I was not sure that this vac would be ideal for my situation, but it’s been great. I have a labrador that sheds a lot! The battery last plenty long on regular power. The furniture attachment is great. The hard floor attachment is ok- doesn’t seem to pick up on the pull back motion, only going forward. Super convenient! Great purchase

The Dyson V8 is the best vacuum I have ever bought. Lightweight and so easy to use. Variety of attachments makes cleaning so much easier.

good touch-up unit

Bought a few months back, great light weight vacuum for touch-up and smaller rooms. Needs more battery life. I did my bedroom, stairs and living room before battery died on highest setting.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless also offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Max mode is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes, and provides a total of 7 minutes of run time. The extended run high suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks, and provides up to 40 minutes of run time.
