Love This Machine!

Compared to our old upright vacuum I love not not having a long annoying power cord, no long cumbersome hose for attachments, and it’s incredibly quiet and lightweight. It gets in places I could not reach with my old machine and the battery lasted long enough to vacuum my whole house on one charge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had heard from family that Dyson vacuum cleaners were awesome. My old vacuum finally stopped working. I purchased a Dyson V8 for pets and I couldn't be happier. The Dyson is so light and easy to maneuver. I find that I vacuum more often!

I love the light feel and maneuverability of this. The down side is the battery heats up on low after a few minutes, not sure if this is normal. Maybe I have a defective battery.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We love that you've found your Dyson V8™ vacuum to be so light in weight and easy to use around your home. Your V8 does offer two suction modes; max and regular. In max suction mode, you will get a boost of power for more stubborn messes or larger debris. This mode does only give you about 7 minutes of run time, which is the trade off for the boost of power. Good product definitely has its place - great for quick touch up’s is the best feature for me, wooden floors and a small runner.
This one compared to the original is much quieter, emptying the canister is much easier.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this vacuum for about 2 months or so and I'm regretting it. First and foremost the battery lasts about 5 minutes before it dies. I can only do one room at a time before it needs to be fully recharged. Second, the vacuum has to be held in the on position. It makes my hand cramp up because I have to keep constant pressure on the on trigger switch. I absolutely regret paying this much for something that dies quickly and is uncomfortable to use. The only redeeming quality is that when it works, it does pick up everything very well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For your runtime please make sure your machine is set to High Suction and not MAX, MAX is for spot cleaning only and depletes the battery at a higher rate.
