i have been saving up for one these machines for a while. Wished i got it sooner. but so glad i have it NOW! So easy to maneuver and light weight. I never had a cordless vacuum before so this is a dream no cord to fight with. I read battery does not last that long when on high so I try to “clean wisely” so i don’t loose power mid way. This machine feels like a toy in the best way! very easy to put on attachments and to clean. Any hints on getting more of the dust particles out? I am really happy with my dyson money well spent.

Due to a recent move, I gave away my Dyson V7 and then picked up the Dyson V8 Animal once we arrived to our new home. Let the Heavens rejoice!! The V8 Animal is ferocious!! Best of the 2! My hair sheds and the Animal brush NEVER gets tangled up. Ever. It’s divine. I had no idea the Animal was created with pets/ hair in mind (thought it was just a product name off the cuff) but it actually makes a huge difference. The stick / cordless is perfect since I’m small and don’t like lugging around a large vacuum. The wall mount is great and I just realized the most common use attachments snap onto the mount for quick access.
I also love the new app! I’m learning so much about the features and tools. Plus care tips to keep the Dyson in top form. Thanks soooo much. My home is better because of Dyson. 😌✨ So fresh. SO clean.

Can't keep up with our household

I was really excited when I bought this vacuum. I had used one at my previous job and loved it. Apparently, my house produces a lot more dirt than my old job site! Between 3 short haired dogs and 2 people.. this vacuum can't keep up. I had to buy extra filters for it just to vacuum 1 large area rug and 2 small ones. I can't even finish the large area rug before it begins to pulse. Really bummed out. I try to vacuum every day, but when I had to wash the one filter it came with every day... It made it impossible. I go through 2 filters JUST to do the area rugs. Forget trying to vacuum the rest of the house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We love the light weight design, and how convenient it is to move about from room to room, with little effort. It's really unusual to hear that your filter would cause the type of issue you're having, on such a regular basis. While the filters on our V8 models do require washing once per month, they should not get so clogged that you need to replace them as frequently as you are. More than likely, there is a blockage some place else in your machine, be it the floor tool, wand, cyclone, etc. We would be really happy to go over your machine with you more in-depth, and help to identify and diagnose the issue, so you're able to clean your whole home without stopping to troubleshoot. Worst battery ever

Battery lasted less than a year when i would only get 6 minutes of running time, very dissatisfied with the quality of battery power. the vacuum is expensive and the batteries should have lasted. i did not send product in for warranty due to the fact i need to vacuum daily for business. In the beginning i would get about 15 minutes worth of use, which was decent but 6 minutes is ridiculous. DO NOT BUY check reviews first. i do have a corded vacuum (dyson) lasted years till the components broke not the power but the plastics around it. i expected better from them. I have bought 3 different types of vacuums from Dyson.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). No dog hair entanglement

Second Dyson vacuum we have purchased. Good suction, The Golden Retrievers' hair does not get tangled around the roller. The dirt basket empties completely when you open it up.

V8 feels much lighter than V7 during operation. It picks up dirt and objects on hard floor much better too. It also has a battery indicator. Very happy with the upgrade.
