Doesn't always pick up everything, even with empty basket. Loses charge quickly. Been having issues with vacuum pulsing, thought it was due to clog somewhere but sometimes does it even when empty and fully charged
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Doesn’t hold a charge for longer than 5 minutes

I had looked forward to owning a dyson. As instructed, I charged it overnight. I removed from charger and started using it just picking up crumbs around the kitchen. Before I was done going around the kitchen, it died. Recharged, tried doing a bit of vacuuming. It died after a few minutes. Horrible disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 has two power modes: extended run high suction and the max mode. The machine is usually set to max mode out-the-box. Max mode is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes and provides a total of 7 minutes of run time. The extended run high suction mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks and provides up to 40 minutes of run time.

WORKS LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO

THIS MAGNIFICENT MACHINE REALLY DOES THE JOB OF PICKING UP ANYTHING THAT DROPS ON MY FLOOR.
THE CLEANING PROCESS IS CLUMSY AND ANNOYIING SINCE THE PART DONT RALLY COME BACK TOGETHER EASILY . (suggest don't try to clean it if feeling short of patience since you might try to slam it to the ground - it has crossed my mind a few times)

Good vacuum, But missing two features

Excellent suction light weight. What is missing is a trigger lock.Trigger must press all the time. No floor light to see where vacuuming.

So easy to use!

I finally broke down and went for a cordless - life changing! Seriously - I am able to vacuum my house before the battery dies and I have a fur baby! Haven't tried the attachments for furniture but am sure they will work well. Highly recommend!
