I have been part of the Dyson family since 2005. When we put in new flooring in 2019, I bought my first D7 stick and he finally went ka-put. I just upgraded to D8 and the power is super impressive! Now if I could only teach my 2 giant schnauzers to wipe their paws!

Would be better with stronger battery

I bought this because my entire home is hardwood floor and I love that it gets the job done, cleans our floors way better than sweeping.
Unfortunately the battery life is extremely frustrating and makes me regret not getting a cord vacuum. I can only vacuum about 2 small/medium sized rooms before the battery dies, and then I have to wait at least 4 hours for it to be charged enough to vacuum 2 more rooms and so forth.. This is really frustrating when I am trying to clean my floors, takes about 2 days of using/charging, using/charging etc. I’m super disappointed for my first Dyson experience.

The vacuum has amazing suction and works great. Only down side is the on switch as you need to hold it in for it to work. I am trying to get used to it. But I may end up returning it for that reason. I have arthritic fingers and it bothersome
This was just purchased less than two weeks ago. The instruction guide was pretty useless- only pictures and very limited texts. After a full charge, the vacuum died after five minutes of use and it takes at least four hours for another full recharge. You can’t run the unit if plugged in waiting a recharge. Unit really only useful for very small areas and/or spills. Would not buy again.

I bought this last month and I'm genuinely disappointed. The vacuum is powerful, maneuverable, and easy to clean out, but the battery is GARBAGE. If you're going to make a product with an integrated battery it has to be GOOD. This is a small and weak 2 amh battery (like the smallest ones you'd use on a dewalt or other power tool) and somehow takes 6 hours to charge??? It's supposed to have 40 mins of battery life but that is only on the low setting. For floors it really feels like it needs the high setting and on that setting it lasts 15-20 minutes. I live in a tiny 1100 sq ft house and I can only get about 1/3 of my house done on a full charge, and then I basically have to wait an entire day before I can do another round??? It would have cost them next to nothing and barely added any weight to double the size of this battery, and also to equip it with a faster charger. A dewalt 2 amh battery can charge in as little as 40 mins, so what is this 6 hour charge time? Super disappointing and cheapo way to kneecap an otherwise great vacuum. I might request a refund.

Battery doesn’t last long enough to do all floors in the house. Then charging takes too long to get full battery use again.

Here are my pros and cons: Pros: style, weight, color and attachments Cons: max speed only last 5 minutes! You have to keep your finger on the trigger for the vacuum to work.. not good for people who have issues with their hands.
