I was reluctant on purchasing this product, but I’m glad I did. I have a bad back do this makes housework so much easier. I just wish the battery lasted longer than stated…

Really good but not great

Suction power is incredible, but it does get hot and wish the battery lasted longer. I am unable to vacuum my entire house with one charge. Also, wish it had a headlight.

Super cleaning ability, though a tad heavy

We've had every vacuum you can name over the years, including other Dyson machines. This one, hands down, cleans our wood floors and carpets of pet hair and such better than any of them. On the negative side, like many Dyson products it is heavier than you would think. Also, holding the trigger closed to keep it running can be, in combination with the weight, taxing. My wife, whose wrists are weak, can't manage it. But I can, and the cleaning results are, in our experience, unsurpassed. Another positive, the wall-mounted dock is very well designed - the best we've experienced.

Not that great

Bought this a few weeks back thought I would like this product but I don’t handle is too short hurts my back when I use it ring the beater bar is powered by air sometimes it gets stopped by the carpet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you do have thicker or more plush carpeting, and you find that your brush bar stops spinning while vacuuming these surfaces, it's likely a compatibility issue with your flooring. The brush bar will stop spinning if it senses an obstruction, in this case, is actually your carpet fibers. Your brush bar isn't powered by air; it's got its own motor which powers the revolutions, and the brush bar shutting off is designed to prevent your motor from burning up. You can try to utilize the lower suction power, which should resolve the issue for you. If you have any other questions/concerns, please get in touch with us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com.

Wish I'd Bought It Sooner!

I've reached the age where I have a favorite burner on the stove and appreciate appliances. I love my Dyson V8 Absolute! It's lightweight and supremely versatile. I love the charging wall mount that keeps it fully charged and ready to use on a whim. It's relatively quiet and has poweful suction that helps me clean upholstery, mattresses and floors. I can even use the extension hose and brush attachments to clean dust off of tables and faux plants. I have bad dust allergies and this vac has noticeably reduced the dust around in my home with regular use.
Honestly, my only regret is not buying the Dyson V8 Absolute years sooner and underestimating how useful having a Dyson vac could be in a hardwood floored home. I always just assumed vacs were needed for carpets.
My feedback to Dyson is about all the accessories. As a consumer, I don't know all the ways to use the attachments. I feel like you should have how-to videos on your website for each attachment, showing how it works and where it's best used. Not only would this sell attachments to consumers, but also educate existing customers and increase reliance on your products.
