Best thing for my apartment! I hated vacuuming because I live in such a small space, but this is so easy to maneuver and clean that it makes it feel much simpler!

Battery won't hold charge

I bought this product less than 2 years ago and it now won't hold a charge for more than a minute or two even though it sits on the charger for days at a time and indicates that it is fully charged. This after Dyson even replaced the main compartment less than a year ago because I had a separate problem with that machine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Vacuum, Terrible Battery

We purchased this vacuum knowing there were lots of complaints about the battery. Thankfully I had a solution in mind for the battery issue otherwise I don't know if we would have made the purchase. The battery included with the vacuum is a 2,415 mAh battery. For comparison my the battery in my cell phone is a 4,660 mAh battery. The battery in my phone is almost twice as large as the vacuum and my phone is driving electrical components to generate suction. It is hard to believe Dyson doesn't already use battery technology more on par with power tools. In most cases power tool batteries are smaller and much more power dense. Maybe that will be a change in the next generation.
With that said the performance of the vacuum is top notch and we love it. We purchased the Absolute so we could get all of the extras up front. We are very satisfied with the vacuum now that the battery lasts longer than 15 minutes.

This is my 2nd dyson stick vacuum. Its quite, you can remove hair out of the roller easily. The suction is strong.

Vacuum is good but missing accessories

Dyson V8 for older people

At 73 It has really gotten hard to push a regular vacuum. My cleaning girl suggested that I get a stick vacuum and I thought about it finally when I could not use my other vac I purchased the Dyson V8 and it has been a blessing for me. I feel like I can get some cleaning done on my own.
