I have the Dyson V8 and this is the first Dyson that I've had. I am so pleased with it. We have a German Shepherd (shedder) dog - so lots of dog hair! I hated vacuuming before with the corded vacuums that we have (and really need to vacuum daily), but with this V8 it's not a big deal to sweep just about every day now. It handles the hardwood, tile floor and the area rugs perfectly. I'm always surprised just how much dirt and dog hair this V8 picks up. It's easy to clean - I do make sure to empty the canister before it's at the Max line. My house is around 1500 square feet, so it's not a big deal to empty the canister a couple of times. I definitely will not go back to a corded vacuum if I can help it!

Not happy with product

I waited a long time to afford a Dyson not happy doesn’t fully charge, battery will last short amount of time. I don’t feel much power to vacuum. So far very disappointed and considering returning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My favorite vacuum cleaner

I love my Dyson cordless vacuum. It works as well (if not better) than my standup cleaners. It’s lighter, easier to maneuver long distances because it is cordless and I can easily use it to clean the interior of my car which is outside away from power outlets. What used to take me two hours now takes me about 45 minutes. I love this vacuum.

Excellent features and attachments

I purchased within the last month and we are very pleased with the vacuum. It came with great attachments. Specifically, the attachment for wood floors is the best. This is my first Dyson and my experience with the machine could not be any better.

Almost Perfect

I love the way my Dyson V8 cleans, but would like to have a switch for keeping the motor running--my old fingers get really tired having to keep it pressed down for cleaning. Also, I have not quite discovered how to empty the bowl without a battle.
