I love how light the Dyson V8 is so easy to carry. Easy to use and the suction is great. I would definitely recommend purchasing it.

We should have purchase one of these long time ago. This vacuum is excellent. It does a great job on both rugs and hardwood. It doesn't have the same vacuum as our Dyson electric, but it still does great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Constantly needing new parts/repairs

This vacuum is great, when it's working.... The amount of maintenance required for this vacuum is unbelievable. I bought this vacuum in 2020, since then Dyson has had to mail me a replacement battery, then they had to send me a new body, then I had to troubleshoot with customer service two other times. The filters need to be washed and/or replaced about once a month. I am now needing to replace the battery AGAIN after just a year since they mailed me the last new battery. The amount of problems we've had with this vacuum in just two years is crazy to me. For background knowledge, I live in a one bedroom hardwood floor apartment, with one other adult. We work full time jobs (are rarely home) no kids, and no pets. In other words, our vacuuming is at a MINIMUM, and Dyson vacuum can not keep up with those standards. I have no idea how other people are using this long term with kids/pets/carpets or a full house.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The overall life of the battery can vary by many factors; how the machine is used, stored, charged and cleaned. The filters should not ever need to be replaced, but will need to be washed once a month to keep the flow of air clear. This also helps to reduce excessive wear/tear on the battery, as any blockage of airflow will cause your machine to run harder than it needs to, to maintain suction.

Doesn’t hold a charge

My Dyson doesn’t hold a charge for very long, now that it is wall mounted and it no longer holds a charge, lasts 30 seconds Is there connection problems when charging
through the wall mount ?
Can we buy a new battery?

If you do charge on the wall dock and are finding that the V8 isn't charging fully or holding a charge, it can be due to the charging pin not being firmly clicked into the dock. Very good vacuum, but...

I really like the light weight and various attachments. The only drawback is the run time. I wish it could last longer. I switch from max to the regular suction, but I don't seem to have enough power to vacuum my entire house.

Brand new, doesn’t work right

The purple wand extension has a power connection issue causing the motor head not to work at all. I called for a replacement several days ago and it hasn’t even shipped yet :(

This was gifted to be by a friend and I absolutely love it. I use to just sweep up messes in my kitchen and living area, this makes it so kuch quicker and easier. It does my area rugs so good too. I love love love it.
