This is so much better than other brands of "broom" vacuums.Easier to clean the dirt chamber, easy to charge, and it works really well for all surfaces. It was exactly what I wanted for my upstairs area and the stairs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery life

This is the second Dyson I’ve owned. The battery life of this one doesn’t last very long. It lasts only long enough to cover 3/4 of the house, a little over 2600 sq. ft.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Mostly great!

I bought this a month ago and it does a great job cleaning and fitting in small spaces, but the battery doesn’t hold very long even after a full charge and it dies frequently.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dyson V 8 Disappointment

I purchased Dyson V 8 vacuum as my sister recommended it to me as she’s very happy with her Dyson vacuum. I assembled vacuum, charged it, & began using it on my hardwood floors. After 7 minutes vacuum stopped! I recharged it ( takes 4 hours) & vacuumed again . Vacuum stopped again after 7 minutes! Tried a third time with same results so took it back to the store to get a new vacuum. Assembled & charged it up. Vacuum stopped after 11 minutes! Took vacuum back to the store & requested my money back. Very disappointing as manual states vacuum will run for 40 minutes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, Using this machine in MAX is for spot cleaning only. For the best run time your machine would need to be set to High Suction for a longer run time. We do apologize for any issues you may have encountered.

Almost makes vacuuming fun

Maybe it is because of how much easier it is to work with a cordless vacuum but I almost enjoy working with the V8. Only complaint is I wielded it so long, the handle bruised my inner thumb!

Pretty amazing

I have a Dyson large canister vacuum. I also have a Dyson V7 and a V8 for small jobs. Yes, three vacuums. My other V7 died so I ordered this vacuum. I was NOT going to use it as a big floor vacuum but OMG, it's amazing. It picks up everything. I even think it's more thorough than my large Dyson. I have not mounted this on the wall yet but I will. It is well worth the money to buy such a quality vacuum.
