I just got this so I cant speak for the negative comments but wow where has this been all my life. So easy to use. My rugs have never felt cleaner and the amount of dust it picked up was unreal. So glad I finally decided to take the plunge and buy one.

So far, so great! Love the fun and easy to use vacuum. Great for my small apartment. The charging dock is very nice, as is the soft roller for my hardwood floors.

Battery doesn’t last at all

I literally just got this vacuum not even a week ago. And used it for the first time today. The battery did not last at all and it didn’t even take the full guaranteed “40” minutes of charge. Do not recommend. Dyson is a lot of money to only have a vacuum last 20 minutes if that

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thanks for sharing your feedback regarding the run time you're getting with your Dyson V8™ vacuum. You have two suction modes with your machine, MAX and regular. Right out of the box, the machine is set to MAX and this mode provides a powerful boost of suction for more stubborn messes or larger debris. In light of that boost of power, you will only see about 7 minutes of run time in this mode. Regular suction - suitable for your everyday cleaning - will give you up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool).
