What I Wanted—and Better!

I have had my V8 for a couple of months. Still have my Dyson upright, but this cordless stick is so much easier to use. The battery time is better than I expected. So far, I haven’t even run dry. I tend to break up the tasks, because I like to do some now and some later, so haven’t tried to use it to the max. The various heads and tools are great. I have mostly hard surfaces, but some area rugs and one room with carpets. House is 2800 sf, so not tiny. But when I notice any accumulation of dust, it takes only a minute to grab my stick! Because of this, I don’t have to do whole house vacuum but once a month (2 retirees and a chihuahua). Instead, I do baseboards rugs, corners and high traffic areas intermittently. And quickly! Holding the trigger has not been an issue, even for my older hands. As I move around, I tend to release, so it isn’t any kind of a strain. Thrilled with ease of cleaning the many blinds in windows, and the pet hair pick-up off the furniture. Amazing suction. Wish I had bought this long ago.

It amazes me how light AND powerful this machine really is! So glad I went ahead and purchased it! I disliked pushing my old heavy monster of a Dyson around and felt it was time to go lighter as I not getting any younger. But there was NO compromise with the power at all. It actually picks up more than my old heavy Dyson!

Works really well

So far so good! I've owned the V8 for a month now, it works great, it's my first cordless vacuum and I am obsessed with the ease of use. I have a lot of pets so I find myself vacuuming multiple times a day now just because it's so easy. I only take away a star because I do occasionally feel a little kick back of litter hitting my legs, but it's certainly not enough to deter me from using.

Great power just does not last

The suction power is what to expect with a Dyson but the battery does not last to do my 3 bedrooms and stairs. I plan my cleaning around charging.

Work well, battery life sucks!

I love the idea of a lightweight and easy to use vacuum, but when I can only use it for 15 minutes at a time it totally defeats the purpose. Also would love if I can lock the “trigger” button so I don’t have to constantly press it down. I give it 2 starts instead of one, because I love all my other Dyson products. This one totally disappointed me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Phenomenal vacuum

The normal mode of the vacuum is plenty of suction power to clean hardwood floors and carpets run time has been longer than expected! Yes on max suction mode it depletes battery down fast but not needed unless you are deep cleaning a rug .We were blown away with multiple max suction passes our area rug looks as good as new very impressed!
