low rating due to battery charge is almost non-existent, it's horrible. It's also not great for carpet and a regular vacuum cleaning. The pet hair/furniture attachment is amazing and the best part of the product. It would be worth buying an upper model to get more for your buck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome vacuum!

Wow, I love this thing! Our bestest boy dog sheds A LOT so we were on the lookout for a vacuum that could actually get all the hair off the floors and rugs. Bought a brand new vacuum a few years ago that broke after less than 2 years of use due to the amount of hair. We decided to splurge on a Dyson, and SO glad we did! The suction is amazing and since it is cordless, it is a breeze to use. Granted, my husband had to empty the chamber a good amount of times during the session, but we will take that with how amazing the vacuum is!

I love this lite weight vacuum. I am disabled and use a wheelchair and can easily use this vacuum. The suction is excellent and picks up dog and cat hair easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

V8 Vacuum

I brought this vacuum less than a month ago. When I went to use it for the first time it did not work. Contacted Dyson, after going through some troubleshooting. I was told my battery was no good. Don’t how you can sell a brand new machine with an inoperable new battery.
Disappointed first time customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I own two Dyson sweepers, so I am a fan of the product line. The V8 model has innovative features for which Dyson is known, and it is quiet and powerful. I am impressed the power and appreciative of the quiet.

Great Vacuum for small space!

Overall we were very happy with the suction power, weight, and easy-to-use Dyson V8 - cleaned our spaces well. We ended up returning it because the battery only lasts 40 minutes on low power, about 20 minutes on max power, and there is no "in between" setting. With the size of our house, we need more battery power, so we are going to order the V12 instead, but happy with the product. The V8 is perfect for a small 2-bedroom apartment size.

Battery and switch are problems for me

I am just getting to know my new machine. I wish the battery lasted longer (only lasts about 20 minutes) and the one off switch was a switch not a trigger.

Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). This model, and the majority of our other cord-free machines, does have a light-touch trigger, which does need to be held down in order to engage the machine's motor. We do greatly appreciate this feedback!
