Very little battery life

Everything very well except the battery in less than 10 minutes it discharges in max mode
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey there! MAX is for spot cleaning only. If you place your machine into High Suction you should get 30-45 minutes of clean time. If you have any concerns, we are glad to help. What's not to LOVE?

I bought this vacuum to replace an 8 year.old V7 ... that still worked perfectly. Some immediate call-outs: it's much quieter; emptying is much easier; and it came with more attachments. I'm a real fan of these amazing vacuums and plan to always have one in my home.

We've had our Dyson V8 for a few weeks now and I've been very impressed with the performance and flexibility. It has made cleaning up each day to keep up with the dust of a bathroom renovation very easy. The various tools have worked well to clean floor, shelves, counters, furniture, etc. from the buildup of drywall dust, etc. Would definitely buy again.

Great suction

Very easy to use. Cordless is very convenient. The strongest dust suction vacuum I ever had. It is slightly heavier for me but I can handle. The drawback could be improved is the location of the on/off switch. Easy to press the switch unintentionally. Despite, I love it.

Disappointed

I have been wanting a cordless vacuum for years so I read the reviews and bought a Dyson. I am very disappointed that I can’t get more than 10 minutes use out of it and then need to wait 5 hours for it to fully charge again. Days in did send me a replacement battery and it was the same, 10 minutes. If you have large areas to vacuum or using multiple different attachments DO NOT get this vacuum!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great for a while

Haven’t found anything that works better, but these vacuums just don’t last. Battery has poor longevity, though one can remedy that with power tool battery adapters. The plastic they make these out of is just garbage. Look at them wrong and they break. Meanwhile you can drop most plastic power tools off a ten foot ladder and they’ll be fine. Just make the same vacuum out of glass fiber reinforced plastic.
