Won't do carpet, even very short hair rugs. Brush stops immediately on carpet.

I had a V8 from 4 years ago. I liked it better. More power and heavier. The one I purchase is a V 8 absolute. It’s ok. Should have bought it in person so I could have compared.

Had my Dyson v8 less than a month and it stopped working. Currently waiting on my refund.

I've used this product several times over the last few weeks. The suction is excellent. The handle design is terrible. Both my wife and I are critical of the handle design. It is awkward and by no means ergonomic. After using it several times the grip was painful. This was not a problem for the first or second use. I suggest this unit was not properly tested over the long term. Although it has many excellent features the handle design is a showstopper for me. Had I known earlier, I would not have purchased this wizard of technology. My comments refer to the Dyson V8 cordless vacuum which I recently purchased. My suggestion to DYSON would be to design and provide an optional handle design for free. It is rather disappointing for a product that is advertised so extensively to be the final say in cordless vacuums.
Lastly the battery connection is awkward and poor. DYSON should take lessons from Makita. I don't know what your terms and conditions are and you did not make them readily available.

I have been waiting to buy a cordless Dyson vacuum for so long that when I finally got it I was thrilled. I immediately started charging it while I hung the holder and organized all of the accessories (a lot). When I got to start vacuuming I was loving it until the battery died shortly after. Hmmm. Not thrilled with the battery life. The other issues include the "trigger" not having a lock feature so that you don't have to constantly press the button. I also noticed that I have been developing a blister where I hold the vacuum in the crook of my thumb. In conclusion I like the vacuum cleaner but I wouldn't recommend it especially considering the price it costs .
