Love love love this stick. I have the corded dyson vacuum and love it so I knew this was going to be a good vacuum. Love it.

I love the fact that this dyson picks up pet hair easily but the handle rubs on hand causing a really bad blister that took two weeks to heal. I learned now that I have to wrap a heavy towel around the handle before I use it. Inconvenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's really convenient!!!
Spilled something? Just grab your "broom", and clean the floor in no time!
The attachments are so much fun... now I can each chip on my bed with a tiny attachment that can help me clean my bed. (I still won't eat on my bed)

The only thing that would make it more user friendly is to be able to lock the on button instead of having to hold the whole time suction is needed!

Bought this model few weeks ago but sorry am not convinced it’s performance is good. My previous V6 animal picks up more debris and hair. Got a dog so always vacuum every day but don’t seem to see much being picked uo

Hello Evie, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you're not having a better experience thus far with your Dyson V8™ vacuum. Your V8 will have longer run time, and a bit more suction power than our previous V6™ models. If you are noticing that debris is getting left behind, or that you're n eeding to make multiple passes to get something picked up, you do have two suction modes on the unit. Using MAX when you notice this happening will provide a boost of suction for those tougher to clean messes. The Dyson V-8 vacuum cleaner is the first vacuum I have ever used that didn’t hurt my back because it is so lightweight. I had a bag less vacuum, but it had a cord to deal with, was much heavier than the Dyson, and was not nearly as clean. This baby is so much lighter and I can vacuum my stairs without nearly falling off them. Plus the small included handheld is perfect for my car, furniture, or even dirty table tops. I think this vacuum deserves 5 stars because my back doesn’t hurt when using it, it cleans powerfully, empties easily when full, stores easily behind my sewing room door on its wall mount so it takes up no floor space. I highly recommend it for older folks with back pain, such as myself. I did not get the crevice tool but need to get it.
