I had the V6 model before and I love the new updates that the V8 has now. I love a stick vacuum. So light weight. I do have mostly hardwood and tile in my home.

Keeping Up with the Pet Hair

As someone who lives with two dogs (one long haired) and three cats (two long haired) as well as an equally hairy husband, I needed this vacuum in the worst way. I debated long and hard about buying one more floor care product, but I'm awfully glad that I did. No longer do I need to sweep, mop, and vacuum on an almost daily basis. A quick trip through the house with the Dyson V8 is all it takes.

Nice vacuum

I really like this vacuum and wanted it mostly for stairs. The only thing I wish was different is the button to hold while vacuuming. My hand can’t hold it very long and have to switch hands or rest and then continue.

Combats dog hair

I’ve had my Dyson for almost a month and couldn’t be happier. I’ve had a iRobot for years and found myself everyday watching it to make sure it did a could job or “picked” up that dirty spot . I battled to buy a cordless vac. I’m so happy for my purchase. It’s so quick and easy to learn and tackles all the “GOLDENS” hair that rolls across the floor in seconds or all the sand they seem to bring in from the beach .

Sadly, my trusty DC44 Animal had to be laid to rest. We’d been through a lot, having even replaced her battery a few years back. I love this upgrade! My new dog hated my old Dyson. This one has a quieter motor that she doesn’t seem to mind. The suction on the low speed is better than high on my old one, and the newer style roller head picks up right up to the edges. I also love the fact that nothing gets caught in the roller. Looking forward to adding more attachments.

Love the improvements

My old Dyson the head doesn't always like to spin, I see the new Dyson has a new catcher for hair and that is one of the things that used to tie my old Dyson up. I also like how you the disposal of the container works. It's a much cleaner system I like the two speeds. I like the quietness, it doesn't even bother the cat anymore and that's amazing in itself. This is new and I have only used it a few times but I am impressed. Thanks Dyson for a great product! You guys Rock!

Works poor timing

Descriptions say run time as up to 40mins and it turnoff after 15mins even it is fully charged and received an broken parts product

Hello Maddy, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool).
