Great but no so great

I've been using this product for a little over a month. My first initial reaction was that this product is just okay. A few weeks later my feelings haven't changed. First thing I noticed was that the battery life isn't great. On regular mode I can get the entire house (minus one carpeted room that's about 120 sqft or so) vacuumed and still have a some battery life left. Our house is about 1500 sqft. What I really dislike is that on the max suction mode the battery lasts about seven to 10 minutes on a full charge. I understand that it is high battery usage but on heavy cleaning and dusting days this is frustrating. After a regular vacuuming session I have to wait another five hours for this thing to fully charge just to use it another few minutes in order to get dusting done which is extremely inconvenient. If Dyson would have made it with the option to work while on the charger / still plugged in it would have made ALL of the difference. I haven't used it on the one room in our house that is carpeted and I honestly don't know if that is even possible with any of the connections. It didn't come with a user manual like all other products electronic products that I have purchased. It did have a sheet that gave you a link to an online user manual but I am more of a paper in my face type of person. I have having to click through links to find what I need. It does come with quite a few connectible pieces. I don't really know what the difference between a few of them are or what they're even called but I haven't had any issues using them so no complaints with those. The item itself is extremely convenient and easy to use. I REALLY wish that it came with maybe a retractable chord to plug in when the batter life isnt sufficient. I think for the price it's not worth it. Overall; three out of five stars, mainly because of the battery life and lack of a proper user's manual.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If the battery is completely depleted, it can take 4.5 hours for that to fully charge.
With regard to the user manual not being included with your machine, in an effort to reduce our foot print and for the convenience of our owners we made the decision as an organization to add a QR code that allows the consumer to download a copy to their smart devices. Before You Order

I bought the V8 Absolute, 12-09-2022. Seriously considering a return. The battery takes 5 HOURS to charge - with a lifespan of 20 MINUTES on normal power. 7 MINUTES on Max.
Very disappointed, for the years of hype Dyson has put into their vacuums I was expecting a better product. Now the hard part: trying to figure out how to pack it for return.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cordless dream

We’ve only had this a couple weeks so far - but I think I’ve vacuumed more in these two weeks than ever before because it’s so dang easy! The layout of our new house and the outlets in tricky places led us to strongly desire a cordless vacuum. I was hesitant because we have a dog and didn’t trust the power on this thing, but we have been VERY happy. It is very light, so easy to empty, fast to change the attachments and I love how it swivels to fit into weird spaces - even under the beds! It’s also pretty quiet and I love that I can hang it to charge. I was able to do the whole house before the battery ran out which I wasn’t expecting to be able to do. We do not have carpet, only some area rugs, so I can’t speak to its abilities on carpet - but we LOVE this vacuum so far! The only thing that would make this perfect for me and warrant five stars, is i wish you didn’t have to hold the button down the whole time. It’s a silly thing to complain about probably, but the design isn’t super ergonomic/comfortable and my hand will ache a little by the time I am done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how lightweight it is. It picks up really well. But most of all i love how i can now get under the beds & furniture now! It’s so easy to empty the canister. The attachments snap on & off so easy. The only one thing i would change if i could is having to hold down the start button while i sweep. But that is no way a game changer. I absolutely love it!!

It is so light weight! We are in a travel trailer and it’s also easily stored. Love the max button. It keeps up with our pom-chi’s hair.

Great vac. Bought a second and gifted first to bachelor brother-in-law. Purchased original over 5 years ago and loved it. New one has head for hard floors which is a nice upgrade. Just grab it and get the job done- house/garage/car/patio/everywhere. Use lawn blower for quick clean out of vacuum between filter cleanings.
