Cool mounting bracket to hang on wall and charge. Very impressive on how much it cleans for its size. Unbelievably cleaning power to catch the most fine dust deep in carpets. First vacuum I’ve ever seen to do that.

Great with one drawback!

I had a heavy 10 year old Dyson vacuum. It was a workout to do the whole house as it was so hard to manage. The new V8 is light, easy to move around BUT the charge lasts only 20 minutes!!!! The ad said 45 minutes. Today was our first day using it. We got the carpets done on one charge. Waited 4+ hours to recharge and now only got 2 rooms of hardwood done. Now we wait for another charge to complete just the first floor!!!! Maybe we are doing something wrong????

Battery life not accurate

Despite following all instructions and the correct charging process etc - the battery lasts max 15 mins of usage.

Your Dyson V8™ cordless offers two powerful suction modes - regular and MAX. MAX provides a boost of suction for larger debris or more stubborn messes. This mode should not be utilized for your everyday cleaning, as it will only give you about 7 minutes of run time. Regular suction is generally suitable for every household, and gives up to 40 minutes of run time (30 when using a motorized tool). If you feel that your V8 might be malfunctioning, we do offer a two-year warranty on this product. Just reach out to our customer support at askdysonUS@dyson.com so we can help.

Easy to use

Just bought this cordless vacuum because tired of dealing with cords (gets tangled and have to plug in and out). Always bought a Dyson. I love everything about it except I wish it lasted a little longer per charge. The suction gets weaker as the 40 minute approaches.
I love being able to vacuum under tables and the bed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great, except..

I like the features and suction power, however emptying it is way more of a task than it should be. I bought this to replace an older model that wasn’t as powerful. On that one it empties with one button. This one comes apart every time we empty it. Very frustrating.

We’ve had our Dyson V8 a few weeks now. The vacuum works well. The big negative thing about this machine is that the battery does not last more than 20-25 minutes after a full charge. That’s just not enough! Because of this battery problem I would not recommend this vacuum.

Life changing vacuum

This is the first cordless stick vacuum I've owned. The Dyson V8 has fulfilled all expectations. I was worried about battery life and bin capacity, but neither is an issue. It's super easy to use, the battery lasts a good 45 minutes in standard mode which is good for at least 3 runs through my ~1000 square foot apartment, and it is more than sufficient to leave my carpets clean and wood floors seemingly having been mopped. I've had it for about 3 months now and couldn't be happier!

Work good on hard floors

It has good features like light wieght, work good on hard floors. The problem is on rugs it stops turning. Not on all rugs but one that I have it stops spinning.
