Terrible

I’ve had my dyson for 4 months and already had two parts replaced under warranty. I’d prefer just to return it. It doesn’t suction on the lower setting so you have to use max and then get about 20min of it. Dust goes everywhere when you empty the canister. Don’t waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The V8 sports up to 40 minutes of run time and those two modes: max mode and extended run high suction mode. The max mode is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes and gives a total 7 minutes of run time. The extended run option is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks and provides up to 40 minutes of run time.

Have not had it long enough to see how it will hold up over time, but so far its a really nice vacuum. Gets into tough areas with ease, the attachments are easy to change, and it picks' up things that I could not see with the naked eye. So far I like it!

I hesitated to make this purchase because of the price. No regrets, and my husband and I both agree that vacuuming has never been so easy. I just purchased one for our daughter who hates to clean and she’s loves it. I especially like how quiet it is.

I've only had my 3rd Dyson for about a month. I really do vacuum more because of the lack of a cord. YAY! It has not run out of power on me. Dyson was right, I vacuum less than 20 minutes a day. Shortcomings: The collection cup is very small and does not completely fill before needing to be emptied. I clogged it already on leaves that dropped from my jade plant. Not one leaf made it into the collection cup. It unclogged easily but who wants to stop to operate on the vacuum? Also had to cut hair from the large and small roller. The V8 is lighter in weight than earlier models, weighing less than a gallon of milk - that's a plus for me. I don't know that I'll recommend since friends and family will say 'You bought another Dyson? What was wrong with the two you have?' My answer will be 'nothing'. I wish I could say the same for my Dyson bladeless fan. This form was a pain in the butt to post; it said my nickname was already used - SO WHAT!?
